You can request deletion of your Simply Family Budget account at any time. The exact result depends on your role in the family workspace and whether other members still rely on that shared data.
If you still have access to your account, use the in-app delete-account flow. In the web app this is available in Settings. In the mobile app this is available in Settings under the danger zone.
If you are unable to access your account, you can request deletion by emailing us at:
Please send the request from the email address associated with your account whenever possible. We may ask for reasonable verification before acting on an email deletion request.
If you are the last owner in a family that still has other members, self-serve deletion may be blocked. In that situation, transfer ownership or remove the remaining members first, then try again.
We may delete accounts without notice when they are at least 365 days old, have had no login or other account activity for at least 180 days, and have zero stored budget data, meaning no wallets, budgets, transactions, or custom categories.
If the inactive account is the only member in a family workspace, the empty family workspace may be deleted with the account. If other members remain, deletion may be skipped where a replacement owner would be required.
Account deletion is intended to be permanent and generally cannot be undone. If you may need your data later, export what you need before deleting the account.
